Product Code: 1856P

Absolutely tracking pioneers sword of the South Wales Borderers, the lot that were at Rorke's Drift; they became the SWB in 1881, previously the 24th Foot.
Condition is beautiful. One tiny split in brass on side of scabbard at throat, shown clearly in picture. Leather stitching has split for about two inches in middle of scabbard. Not noticeable unless looking for it.
Lots of nice war department markings on both side of ricasso.
Really good bit of kit. Solid in all aspects, original washer is present.
Very clean blade, beautiful greenish patina to the brass.
